This weekend, celebrate the anniversary of the galaxy's longest-running science-fiction series at "Tardis 21." a convention celebrating 21 years of "Doctor Who." The reunion will begin at 9 a.m. today at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare, 9700 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., Rosemont.

Doctor Who is an absent-minded Time Lord who has two hearts, six different faces and 13 lives. Four of the six actors who portrayed the character on TV will be at the reunion. They are Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee. Peter Davidson and Colin Baker.

The celebration will include 13 other favorite characters from past and present "Doctor Who" episodes, such as The Master, Captain Yates, Jamie and Peri. Terrance Dicks, author of the Doctor Who series, and producer John Nathan-Turner will conduct a panel discussion.

In addition, the convention will offer screenings of "Doctor Who" episodes, a discussion of the multi-media history of his science-fiction series, a show and auction of Doctor Who artwork and a Doctor Who costume contest.

Convention hours are 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. today and Sunday. Tickets are $15 and may be purchased by calling 559-1212.
