When Dr. Who got the axe from the BBC, Perry, the Doctor's assistant, was left wondering what the future held for her. "I decided that I couldn't just go on twiddling my thumbs wondering if I still had a job with the Doctor or not, so I accepted a part in a play in Leicester which I'm thrilled about, because it is my first stage role," she says.
Dr. Who has been taken off our TV screens for at least 18 months. "I still don't know if I'm sacked or not," says Perry. "I have two years of my contract left to run, but who knows when we'll be back?" Not even poor old Dr. Who himself can answer that one!
Spelling correction: Peri
