ACTOR ROGER DELGADO (above), The Master in the BBC Television series. Dr Who. has been killed in a road accident in Turkey. He was 53.
Delgado—born in London of French and Spanish parents—was on his way to a film location when his chauffeur-driven car overturned at a sharp corner near Nevsehir. Central Turkey, yesterday. One other passenger was killed.
The actor arrived in Turkey last weekend to play one of the leading roles in a Franco-Turkish television production "Tibet Cani" (The Bell of Tibet).
He lived with his second wife Kismet, a former model from Persia. in a cottage in Teddington, Middlesex. They have no children.
He once said : "I love playing villains. I am chosen by because I have a beard, a directors to play wicked men menacing chin and piercing eyes."
