Wells people watching BBC television in the near fugure should recognise the settings of three programmes which have been filmed in and around the city.
Film crews and actors have been busy this week making episodes of Dr. Who at Wookey Hole caves, and part of a Christmas countryside anthology at East Horrington.
At the beginning of October the BBC Christmas ghost story was filmed in Wells Cathedral and at Dinder House.
The Dr. Who episodes star former Bristol Old Vic actor Tom Baker as the new Dr. Who. The story is called 'The Revenge of the Cybermen' and is set underground on a strange planet.
The cast, which includes Elizabeth Sladen as Sarah, and Ronald Leigh Hunt as the commander, stayed at the Swan Hotel in Wells.
Spelling correction: Elisabeth Sladen
