MANIPULATING time and space is all in the day's work for the producers of the world's longest running TV science fiction series, Dr Who.
To celebrate its 20th anniversary tonight they bring back four doctors from the past for a special feature-length story.
In The Five Doctors, the current Dr Who, Peter Davison is joined in an exciting adventure by his predecessors Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker.
The late William Hartnell, the original actor to play the part, is seen briefly in vintage footage, but his role as the first doctor is taken by Richard Hurndall.
Many of the doc's companions also appear, including Carole Ann Ford, who was grand-daughter Susan in the very first episodes; Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier and Elizabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith. (BBC-1, 7.20).
