"The Doctor Who Celebration and Tour," an exhibition built around the the long-running British Broadcasting Co.'s "time and space adventure" series, will roll through Chicago and Navy Pier over the 4th of July weekend.
Devotees of the show, which airs on WTTW-Ch. 11, won't get to see much more than a trailer filled with "Dr. Who" paraphernalia, however.
"Chicago is the only stop on the [nationwide] tour where we won't have cast members available," said a spokeswoman for Lionheart Television in Philadelphia. "We needed an indoor facility for some of our video equipment and we couldn't get that from the city and the station."
