[edit]

The new Dr Who episode has been a sad disappointment. Tom Baker, the present inhabitant of the Doctor's body is beginning to show a nice strain of eccentricity and the Brigadier embodies the same blank, stiff-upper-lip attention to duty; but as for the mad scientists and the rest — their acting was even more mechanical than the poor unfortunate robot with the mixed-up principles, who went to his doom in a quite appalling imitation of King Kong, trampling tiny buildings and midget men underfoot and even stooping to lift the screaming girl reporter in his huge mailed fist.
