This October, Whovians will say goodbye to Jodie Whittaker as she steps down from her role as the Time Lord. Jodie made history as the show's first ever female Doctor and the canonised WLW romance between her and Yaz (Mandip Gill) broke the Twitterverse. It's a bittersweet goodbye, but fans have a lot to look forward to and there's plenty more queer goodness to come. Jodie will be passing the baton (or sonic screwdriver) to Sex Education's Ncuti Gatwa. He will be joined by Neil Patrick Harris and Heartstopper's Yasmin Finney, who confirmed her character will be trans at this years Trans+ Pride. We're sad to say goodbye to Jodie and Mandip, but we're happy to say hello to the new faces.
