A NEW face to TV, Australian actress Janet Fielding, is the latest girl in the life of "Dr Who."
And she has made such an impression on Beeb chiefs that she has been signed up as Dr Who's assistant Tegan until 1983.
Janet, 23, comes from Brisbane. She plays an Aussie air stewardess of Yugoslav descent—hence the name Tegan—who gets picked up "quite accidentally" by the Tardis while she's on her way to Heathrow Airport.
She won't have long to know Dr Who in his present guise, for the four-part episode starting tonight is Tom Baker's farewell to the role.
The next—and fifth—Dr Who, Peter Davison, starts work next month.
