What Next For Doctor Who?
Outgoing Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat is hard at work on his final series (and Christmas special) for later this year. But he tells me that he won't be looking to write for the show's new boss, Chris Chibnall, the man who gave us Broadchurch. Chibnall's first series debuts in 2018 and will showcase a new Doctor, taking over from Peter Capaldi. But who? I recently tried to prise the answer from BBC director of content Charlotte Moore but she gave nothing away. However, we considered a list of possible new Doctors that was exclusively female, and began with the names Olivia Colman and Michaela Coel (above). Read into that what you like...
