The BBC's Dr. Who convention at Longleat was an organizational disgrace.

My family arrived shortly after it opened on Easter Sunday. After viewing one exhibit we emerged and it was impossible to get to any others as the exhibition was totally overwhelmed.

Concerned for our small children and on promise of re-entry we returned to our car for a short break. [illegible] than two hours after opening, ticket sales were cancelled for the day and re-entry was only possible by joining a long queue of frustrated [illegible].

Any reasonably intelligent person could see the ground space allocated was wholly inadequate and for the BBC to say they were taken by the surprise at the size of the crowd was incredible.

Be embarrassed faces of the BBC staff we spoke to confirmed that his entrance ticket sales alone substantiated the figures you reported.

The day cost us £15 in petrol, £1 parking in the Marquis of Bath, £12 tickets. The time and effort and disappointment was even greater.
