SPACE voyager Dr Who has a new assistant who is out of this world.
He is a mischievous alien called Adric.
The much-travelled doctor's previous 20 assistants in the long-running TV show have all been girls.
The boy to break the run is 18-year-old unknown actor Matthew Waterhouse.
He said yesterday: "I'm very excited about it. I know I'm very lucky to get the part.
"I play a cheeky character from the planet Alzarius, but like all the doctor's companions, I have a heart of gold."
Matthew, from Haywards Heath, West Sussex, joins the BBC show in the autumn.
