[edit]

DR WHO followers will be as elated as an android about to take over the universe. If they time into Channel 2 at 7.30pm on Tuesday.

The Five Doctors is a 90-minute adventure made by the BBC to celebrate the Time Lord's 20 years of televised conflict with evildoers created in the special effects department.

For this special the doctors get together with some of their companions to outsmart The Master and familiar adversaries from around the galaxy.

The original Dr Who — William Hartnell — died this year, but the BBC found a passable look-alike in Richard Hurndall.

His "other selves" are familiar enough: Jon Pertwee. Patrick Troughton, Tom Baker and Peter Davison.
