For a programme that's now in its 62nd year, I'm always dazzled by the creativity and ingenuity of the Doctor Who writers! The episode Lux (19 April BBC1) was special and bizarre, in all the right ways. The character of Mr Ring-a-Ding, voiced by the wonderful Alan Cumming, was both beguiling and sinister. To see him interact with the Doctor and Belinda (Ncuti Gatwa and Varada Sethu) was truly magical.

...This series of Doctor Who (Saturday BBC1) is a big improvement on last year's episodes. Russell T Davies has been listening to the fans and brought back continuity.
I especially liked Anita Dobson as the mysterious Mrs Flood. I think we owe Russell and the team a big thank you (but don't forget Chris Chibnall had to contend with Covid from 2020-22).
