But in real life, Time Lord actress Jodie Whittaker is trying to save the planet from waste. When she arrived to film the BBC sci-fi series, she handed out reusable cups for the cast and crew on location. This was so they can help save the environment. Her TV companion Mandip Gill, who plays Yasmin Khan, revealed: "She came into my trailer and was like: 'I bought you a little present so we don't have to keep using cups'. "She is so kind and giving." Meanwhile, Jodie has revealed how although the cast including Bradley Walsh and Tosin Cole have been fighting monsters and aliens on TV, they ran scared when a real spider wandered into a trailer. She tells Doctor Who Magazine: "A false widow fell out of the top of the trailer and landed on Mandip. "She screamed: 'Help! Help!' and this huge spider landed on her leg and she absolutely lost it. "Then I threw myself over the table." Doctor Who's latest story Kerblaml airs tomorrow on BBC One at 6.30pm.
