This eccentric BBC TV sci-fi series, which started in the 1960s and still continues through time, is being launched on DVD with three releases, each containing a four-episode story. [[broadwcast:Spearhead from Space|Spearhead from Space]] is an apocalyptic tale of an invasion by aliens disguised as store mannequins. [[broadwcast:The Five Doctors|The Five Doctors]] brings together actors who have played Doctor Who over the years (supposedly his different manifestations) for one mind-bending adventure. [[broadwcast:The Robots of Death|The Robots of Death]] wasn't available at press time. Picture and sound aren't stupendous, but they never were. Both DVDs come with commentaries, The Five Doctors also with a separate track of the memorable electronica score. English, Dolby Digital 5.1; full frame (1.33:1); dual layer.
