Sun wins campaign on Daleks

THE Sun has won its battle to save the Daleks.

Dr Who's arch enemy WILL return for next year's new BBC1 series.

Fans hailed the news last night — and even The Sun's Dalek celebrated with a cuddle from Page 3 beauties Lauren, 20, (far left), and Charlotte, 19. The excited alien said: "Extermi-great!"

During our campaign — which was even backed by the White House — our Dalek ATTACKED BBC Television Centre in West London and SWOOPED on a film set in Cardiff.

The Daleks — whose design is based on pepperpots — were reinstated after Beeb bosses agreed terms with the family of their creator, the late Terry Nation.

Tim Hancock, agent for the Terry Nation Estate, said: "I am delighted we have reached an agreement." The new series stars Christopher Eccleston as Dr Who and Billie Piper as his sidekick.
