IF THERE'S flurry of activity down at your local library next week, don't be surprised— it's Children's Book Week. &lt;br /&gt;

One of the most spectacular displays is on at Gateshead Central Library in Prince Consort Road with the theme &amp;quot;Focus on the Future.&amp;quot; &lt;br /&gt;

As well as a Dr. Who Tradis, there's some genuine Moon rock, a Leggo spaceship, a spare-part surgery display and the chance to have a go on a computer. &lt;br /&gt;

On Wednesday the film &amp;quot;Holocaust 2000&amp;quot; is being screened at 7.15p.m. and on Tuesday and Thursday the Skin and Bones Theatre Group, is presenting &amp;quot;Spaceman, Spaceman.&amp;quot; &lt;br /&gt;

Also on Wednesday Caroline Holden, illustrator of the picture book &amp;quot;The Lion and Albert,&amp;quot; will be drawing and talking to groups of children at 2.15.3.00 and 4.00. &lt;br /&gt;

Caroline is also a at North Shields Library on Thursday morning as part of a full programme on North Tyneside.  The main event is a book fair at North Shields Library where you can buy a wide range of popular paperbacks. This is being opened at 2.30 on Wednesday by Maggie Philbin of TV's Swap Shop and continues all week. &lt;br /&gt;

Sports writer Michael Hardcastle, author of &amp;quot;In the net, United ...&amp;quot; is visiting four libraries in the to talk about his work. &lt;br /&gt;

On Monday he will be North Shields at 10.30 am. and at Whitley Bay Library at 2.30; on Tuesday he will be at Wallsend Library at 10.30 a.m. and at Killingworth Library at 2.30. &lt;br /&gt;
