KNOCK, knock ... Who's here! Dr Who fan 21-year-old Caroline Heath from Frankley had the shook of her life when a dalek materialised in Birmingham city centre.

Who-mania is set to break out in the city next week as fans from all over the country converge to celebrate the Time Lord's 30th birthday.

The Dr Who Festival will include an exhibition of memorabilia at the Science Museum in Newhall Street between November 21 and December 5.

A series of classic dalek movies from the Sixties, starring [[:Category|Peter Cushing|]], will be shown at the Odeon In New Street, along with computer challenges, a galatic treasure hunt and a 'Mastermind' competition on the cult character.

An all-day event on Saturday, November 20, will also give fans a chance to meet some of the stars of the series.

The festival is being organised by the Doctor Who fan club, The Wolves of Fenric. All money raised will go to charity.
