DALEK plans to conquer the Earth may have been foiled in the last series of hit BBC Wales show Doctor Who.

But the time-traveller's arch-rivals are ready to launch an offensive in Scotland, as the nation prepares for the first visit of the Doctor Who exhibition.

Tickets yesterday went on sale for the exhibition at Glasgow's Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum next March. It is the only Scottish date for a show currently on in London and in the Red Dragon Centre in Cardiff Bay.

Doctor Who's adversaries, Daleks, Cybermen, Autons, Slitheen, Ood, plus the ever-faithful K9 will be there.

Props will be added once the episodes they appear in have been broadcast.

Kelvingrove reopened two years ago after a pounds 35m renovation.

Bailie Liz Cameron, chair of Culture and Sport Glasgow, said: "I am sure Doctor Who will inspire the next generation of visitors to Glasgow Museums.

"Our ambition to maintain Kelvingrove's position as Scotland's number one visitor attraction remains a priority as we enjoy unrivalled success.

"Because it is the only Scottish destination for the Doctor Who exhibition, we look forward to welcoming visitors from all over Scotland and beyond."
