TV's own Timelord and British institution Dr Who goes on forever, as this tribute journey into the past shows. Since his arrival in 1963 he has defied the ravages of time by altering his appearance at regular intervals (thus allowing a succession of actors to inhabit the role). He roams the timestream in a capacious police box and has outwitted many an enemy bent on universal domination, though few as terrifying as the Daleks, seen here forming an orderly queue on a visit to London.
