Q — Last year on [[broadwcast:WPBT|Channel 2]], during their telethon to raise money to buy new shows, the announcer said since "Dr. Who" is such a popular show and helped them raise a lot of money, they were going to buy new "Dr. Who" shows. Well, they haven't. All they do is keep rerunning the same repeats. Could you please find out when And if they are going to buy new shows or was it all just a con so people would send in more money. — Angie Martin, Lake Worth.

A — It was all just a con, Angie. The whole world is just a con and Channel 2 is nothing but a fig newton of your imagination. Of course they could have bought hundreds of new "Dr. Who" shows, but they'd rather take their obscenely overinflated PBS salaries and bloat them even higher, so they can languish over three hour lunches every day and laugh about how they've piled the wool over your eyes. GIVE ME A BREAK, WILL YOU! PBS stations like Channel 2 live on the razor's edge of poverty and their pleas for funds to stay0020on the air are anything but a con. As for "Dr. Who." WPBT program director Candice Carlisle said they've just purchased 73 new episodes they will begin airing toward the end of September when the current cycle of shows is completed.
