THE DOCTOR had a glamorous makeover for an appearance on JIMMY FALLON's The Tonight Show this week.

Actress JODIE WHITTAKER's red dress and lippy is a far cry from the frumpy clobber she wears as the star of Doctor Who.

And things are looking up for the new series of the BBC sci-fi drama with the addition of two hunky guest stars. Viewers will recognise WARREN BROWN from his time playing PC Tom Bailey in ITV thriller Liar and Det Sgt Justin Ripley in BBC1 crime drama, Luther.

Warren will be joined by MATTHEW McNULTY, who played SHERIDAN SMITH's character's estranged	husband in ITV's Cleaning Up last year, and is about to	appear in Channel 4's Deadwater Fell.

Let's hope it gives the show's viewing figures a much-needed boost.
