Terrifying Daleks will try to exterminate Dr Who when the telly sci-fi classic returns to our screens just as we predicted.<br />

Fans had feared the worst after a legal wrangle threaten to rule the famous foes out - but yesterday producers confirmed the deal had been reached.<br />

BBC drama boss Mal Young said: "It's good news."<br />

"We look forward to working closely with the production team in the forthcoming months."<br />

The series, written by Russell T Davis, will see actor Christopher Ecclestone, 40, play the Time Lord, with Billie Piper, 21 as his sidekick Rose Tyler.<br />
