DOCTOR WHO star David Tennant has confessed he dragged out the kissing scene with Kylie Minogue in the show's Christmas special.<br />

The Time Lord embraces Astrid Peth, played by the 39-year-old pop diva, after she helps him beat off an alien angel attack on board doomed spaceship The Titanic.<br />
<br />
Tennant, 36, admitted he milked the opportunity to lock lips with the singer while filming Doctor Who: The Voyage of the Damned to be aired on Christmas Day.<br />
<br />
Speaking at the show's premiere last night, he said: "I just kept going until the director told me to stop. lam the ultimate professional. On that day I don't know what happened but I kept messing up."<br />
<br />
And the actor, who replaced Christopher Eccleston as the tenth doctor in 2005, denied rumours he will quit.<br />
<br />
Comedienne Catherine Tate, 39, who plays his new assistant, threw Tennant's future into question after she told Jonathan Ross the next series would be his last. Tennant said: "Catherine Tate stitched me up good and proper. She goes on Jonathan Ross and makes up a load of nonsense. She said I was leaving, which is a decision I haven't made yet.<br />

"I'm doing four more specials and beyond that no one's asked me to make any decisions."<br />
