Now she returns without the Doctor in a one-off drama, The Sarah Jane Adventures (4.50pm BBC1)—a ten-part series follows next year. "Sarah has advantages that journalists don't normally have," says Sladen. "Remember, she's been in the Tardis. She recognises when things aren't quite right; she has a nose for it."
