Editor: I am deeply concerned about what's happening on Channel 3 on Saturday nights! Instead of showing Doctor Who with Tom Baker, they are attempting to pawn off some other actor as the Doctor!

As most loyal fans of Doctor Who know, only Tom Baker brought the wit, intelligence and style to the role that enables viewers of all ages to enjoy the series.

I've called Channel 3, and been told it will be at least a year before we see Tom Baker again. This raises the ugly specter of scores of desolate Doctor Who fans, aimlessly wandering the streets every Saturday night, seeking solace, instead of curling up on the couch in their own homes.

This kind of desperate behavior can only accelerate universal entropy! I urge all loyal Tom Baker fans (and other concerned citizens) to contact Channel 3 and tell them we want our favorite Doctor back.

They may say it's all because of contractual problems — but I say a plot so vile could only have been spawned by the Master himself.
