The Doctor Who Cuttings Archive - dedicated to chronicling the story of the BBC TV series Doctor Who in the press and media.
The original site contained over 1500 scans of newspaper and listings magazine articles covering Doctor Who from 1963 to 2009. The original archive was created in July 1998 by Roger Anderson, who maintained it up through 2009, after which it went offline for personal reasons.
A much loved and much missed resource, the Cuttings Archive is being brought back now, perhaps not as pretty but even more useful than ever, thanks to John Lavalie of epguides.com and BroaDWcast, Nick Seidler of Earthbound Timelords, Steven Warren Hill of Gallifrey Base (who also created the site logo), and Dennis Kytasaari of epguides.com, and with the full cooperation and encouragement of original webmaster and editor Roger Anderson. The original Cuttings Archive content has been incorporated here.
How are we making it more useful? Wherever possible, articles are being presented in both image format AND text format, so content is searchable.
This website is intended as a resource for researchers and fans of the BBC programme Doctor Who and as such it is run on a not for profit basis. If you are a publisher and would like any of your material removed, please contact us. Articles are generally embargoed for at least one year.
