Ex Timelord Colin Baker on why he thinks Rose is just what the Doctor ordered

STEAMY Billie Piper is a real Dr Phew as the Time Lord's hottest ever sidekick - but don't take our word for it ... the top man himself thinks so.

Former time traveller Colin Baker said the 22-year-old actress is simply Dalek-table as the Doctor's feisty assistant Rose Tyler in the revived cult telly series.

Sexy

And Baker wouldn't mind squeezing into his Tardis with the sizzling blonde, who has helped the show become a hit all over again.

The 61-year-old actor - who played the Doctor from 1984-86 - said: "My two assistants were great, but Billie is amazing. She's beautiful."

One-time teenybopper Billie burst back onto the screens last month as the tasty Tardis babe, alongside 41-year-old Christopher Eccleston's mysterious Doctor.

Her gorgeous curves and tempting pout as Rose have already helped the show win a whole new generation of fans. Billie's glamorous hair and naked body make her the most seductive sidekick on telly.

And in this exclusive photo the former pop princess shows she is all grown-up, lying on her stomach, in just a see-through net skirt, looking like a real life Barbie-girl princess.

The picture puts to rest for good her one-time squeaky-clean chart-topper look, and also her scruffy girl style from her years married to millionaire media man Chris Evans, 39.

Her butt-kicking, girl-power Rose is a far cry from Baker's old egg-head wimpy assistants. And Colin agrees.

Sweet

He thinks she is such a telly turn on she even beats off competition from his own long-standing aides from his dalek dodging days, Nicola Bryant and Bonnie Langford.

Instead she is every inch the model girl pin-up. Billie's TV role is the perfect way for her to relaunch her career in Britain. She successfully put the world of sugary sweet pop behind her when she tied the knot with Chris four years ago.

They spent the next two years on what Billie called "the longest honey moon in history", travelling around the world or sunbathing in Portugal. The couple finally moved back to England last year when Billie landed the role as Rose.

But her punishing filming schedule for the BBC1 series, and the 17-year age gap with Chris took its toll and the couple split up last year.
