[edit]

Dr. Who's crewmate Adric died trying to save the world last night and he wasn't too happy about it.

Actor Matthew Waterhouse said: 'I was a bit disappointed and upset.'

Matthew, 20, wanted to be written out of the script but instead became the first main character to die in the show's 19 years.

He perished heroically trying to divert a plummeting spaceship from destroying Earth.

Matthew, of Hayward Heath, Sussex said: 'Dr. Who's companions normally leave by falling in love, or going off to help some underdeveloped planet -- there's never been one of them killed before.'
