Addicted

I am a television addict and not ashamed to admit it. I like good, intelligent programs, along with silly ones. I have been watching a show on Channel 12 recently that you seem to have missed. It is called "Good Neighbors." It is hilarious. I wish you would watch it Sunday at 10 p.m. and write something about it so others can enjoy it.

I really enjoy watching classic television. New York seems to have some of the best — "The Hooneymooners," "The Odd Couple," "Taxi," "Star Trek," "I Love Lucy," etc.

Here in Philadelphia we seem to have the leftovers — "Gilligan's Island," "Hawaii Five-0," "Charley's Angels," "What's Happening" — you get the picture.

I wonder what someone like myself can do to get a show back on the air in Philadelphia, particularly "The Hooneymooners." Please help.

Louis Kanterman

Philadelphia Dear Louis: This is the second request I've had for "The Hooneymooners." There's not much you can do, other than getting a petition. I'll help this much. If all the readers who want "The Honeymooners" will write to me, I'll print how many letters are received. Maybe that will give Channel 17 or Channel 29 (or Channel 12) an idea. As for "Good Neighbors," I'll try to watch it. The last show someone recommended this way, "Dr. Who," was a cheesy drag, so I'm not making any promises.
