From Miss Carol Imlay
Sir, Whilst I sympathise with Mrs Mavis Buck and the obvious trauma her grandson suffered during a performance in Leeds of Peter Pan (report, March 4), I cannot help but recall with delight my own memories of the most terrifying phenomenon — Dr Who's Daleks.
Saturday afternoons would not have been the same had they not been spent crouched behind the sofa in the sitting room, apoplectic with fear at every nasal "exterminate", "exterminate".
However I think what scared me the most was my mother carrying out her threat and turning the television off.
I remain, yours faithfully,
CAROL IMLAY, Carisbtooke Court, Upper Mulgrave Road, Cheam, Surrey
