Dr. Who, a BBC-produced science fiction series that has been running in Britain since 163, debuts on TVO (Channel 18) at 7:30 p.m. Due to the longevity of the series, there have been four actors in the title role; the episodes which will run on TVO features the third Dr. Who, played by Jon Pertwee.
Dr. Who is a Time Lord, one of a advanced race of beings who enjoys all sorts of advantages over mere mortals — like yourself, for example. But fear not! Dr. Who is also a supremely nice guy. The first episode pits the good doctor against a streak of "space lightning."
