Simon Callow, the 46-year-old out gay actor, is rumoured to be in the running for the part of the new Dr Who. Callow has been negotiating with American producer Philip Segal over a £5 million film featuring the time-travelling Doctor. Callow (right), an associate member of the Pride Trust, was last seen playing an extrovert gay character in Four Weddings and a Funeral.
