One of the best known of all the Dr Whos - Tom Baker - will be in Llangollen later this month.

His floor length scarf, wide-bummed hat and endless packet of telly babies made Toni Baker one of the most popular actors to have taken the role of the Doctor, staying in the BBC cult series from 1973 until 1981

And he was the first of the Doctors to be immortalised in a range of plastic toys.

Tom Baker will take break from filming a new series of Randall and Hopkirk Deceased and a new movie, based on Dungeons and Dragons to travel to Llangollen BBC Doctor Who Experience exhibition on October 28.

He will take part in A Day with Tom Baker sesions for Dr Who enthusiast and also sign autographs for the general public in the afternoon.

The Dapol company which owns the Experience in Llangollen's lower Dee Mill said it was delighted.
