Success of 'Dr. Who'

It seems that the success of "Dr. Who" is due to the fact that it has not done either of these, yet has managed to provide the adventure, which all children crave.
One letter, from a little girl who wanted a Dalack, is particularly prized by the B.B.C. wrote: "If you send me one I shall take it for a walk in the garden every day."
A little sadly I report that there won't be any "weirdies" in the programme's next series. It will be a straightforward science fiction piece. But I am assured that we can expect some real eye-catchers in subsequent series.
