Monsters miss out
WHEN I was a nipper I was scared stiff of the Daleks. One eerie, 'orrible EX-TER-MINATE!.. and I was away and behind the sofa.
But not any more. Those metal monsters have gone rusty and couldn't frighten a jelly-baby. The plots are on another planet and the latest Doctor—Sylvestor McCoy—should be struck off.
Twenty-five years is a long time, even by Tardis space-travel dimensions, and someone at the Beeb should have had the courage of their convictions and pulled the plug on this programme.
The Doctor peaked with Jon Pertwee in command. Ever since, the sci-fi series has been a load of intergalactic garbage.
The current adventure centres around a school in London back in 1963.
The doctor is lumbered with, Ace—who should be called Joker by the look of her outfit. Now she does look frightening. Hopefully, the story will improve and the Time Lord works his magic.
But if he doesn't, I'm warning you, I'll start the Bring Back Blake's Seven Campaign! Then we will be in trouble!
