[edit]

The series finale of Doctor Who, The Doctor Falls (1 July BBC1), was breathtaking, and the ending (in which the 12th Doctor met his very first incarnation) was one of those thrilling moments that stays with you a long time. Beautifully done. Danny O'Brien Southwick,

West Sussex

... Among all the frantic racing around, shouty dialogue and incomprehensible nonsense of the past few series of Doctor Who, there have been glimmers of a three-dimensional character, but Peter Capaldi wasn't given the space (no pun intended) to create one and inhabit it. When allowed a short amount of silence, he filled it with so many unspoken words.

But this latest run has been a masterpiece: stories for all, unsettling scares and monsters; the acting faultless. And then there was an overarching tale of dilemma and love. I am bereft. Liz Weatherley Potters Bar, Hertfordshire

Filming has just finished on the Christmas special starring Peter Capaldi and David Bradley as the two Doctors. RT was on set for the occasion - so watch this space...

PRIDE AND POLDARK

Please can we have a new version of Pride and Prejudice? It's more than 20 years since Colin Firth played Mr Darcy so memorably. The BBC do costume dramas so well. My choice would be an all-Poldark cast: Aidan Turner as Mr Darcy, Eleanor Tomlinson as Elizabeth Bennet and Gabriella Wilde as Jane. Perfect! Ann Sheffield via email

Ann Sheffield wins the DVD of Doctor Who, series ten, part two, starring Peter Capaldi. It's available to buy.
