THAT new Dalek thriller—"Daleks Invade Earth 2150 AD"—will have Bernard Cribbins, Ray Brooks and Jill Curzon in the cast it addition to Peter Cushing and Roberta Tovey, who will again play the doctor and his grant daughter, Susan.
Joe Vegoda, the film's executive producer says that it has been decided to make this second Dalek film on a much more lavish scale than the first, which was one of the moneymakers of 1965. "It cannot fail to appeal to anyone between seven and seventy," he says.
From an original film script by Milton Subotsky and David Whittaker, "Daleks Invade Earth 2150 AD" is based on Terry Nation's BBC series. The story will involve epic Dalek battles, a vast mine, manned by human slaves, and a giant Dalek saucer, 120 feet in diameter.
Produced by Subotsky and Max J. Rosenberg, the film, which starts shooting at Shepperton on January 31, is to be made in Technicolor and Techniscope. The director will again be Gordon Flemyng.
This will be a British Lion presentation through BLC.
