What do you get when you mix orange, pineapple and cranberry juices with Southern Comfort, Amaretto and grenadine?
A new drink called "The Zygon Terror." This potent creation debuted last week at the Press Box on Dale Mabry at a special showing of Channel 3's new science fiction series, "Dr. Who," featuring an alien hero.
The drink was named in honor of Doctor Who's first episode, "The Terror of the Zygons," which premiered on TV Saturday night. Channel 3, looking to defray the costs of 41 "Dr. Who" episodes, arranged the Press Box affair to show off this classic British series to potential underwriters.
The Press Box staff created the new pink-colored drink. Some wag joked during the premiere that after two or three Zygon Terrors, the esoteric Dr. Who gets easier to understand.
