ROLL up, roll up - here is new Doctor Who sidekick Bradley Walsh as a villainous circus ringmaster who morphs into an evil clown, in a BBC spin-off.

We told yesterday how the quiz show host, 57, will be assistant to the first Time Lady, Jodie Whittaker. And it's a step up from Walsh's past experience of the time-travelling world, in children's series The Sarah Jane Adventures. He played the morphing alien in 2008 episode The Day of the Clown.

The show followed an ex-assistant to Tom Baker's Doctor, played by late actress Elisabeth Sladen.
