It's hard to kill a Time Lord, though heaven knows, certain arch-villains never tire of trying.
This month the Master — Doctor Who's evil and despicable nemesis — returns once again to try his hand at permanently eliminating everyone's favorite Time Lord, On September 2, the good Doctor takes a nasty dive off the top of a giant radio telescope. Fortunately, the Master's plan is fateful, not fatal. Doctor Who cures himself the next week with a little cell regeneration, and turns out looking just like Peter Davison.
Yes, Doctor Who fans, the newly purchased Peter Davison episodes have arrived, debuting September 9 with Castrovalva. Though a bit shaky at first, Doctor Who is none the worse for wear—wearing, in fact, a snappy Victorian cricket outfit. You'll notice that the Doctor has lost his famous scarf, as well as some years off his apparent age, but he's retained that marvelously dry sense of humor.
As Doctor Who himself might waggishly remark, better the guise of a young blade than an old maid.
