Keep my Peri off the Menu

SOMETHINO wicked this way comes .. name of Shockeye, an alien being from Outer Bad Taste who eats rats on TV right in the middle of Saturday teatime.

A trifle unseemly, even for the outrageous monsters constantly nibbling at the colourful coat tails of Dr Who.

Shockeye is played by explosive actor John Stratton, who always manages to sound like a faulty cistern. Mr Stratton made a meal, in every sense, of his rodent eating. It was quite revolting.

Then, to the consternation I am sure of her many devotees, he turned cannibalistic eyes on the delightfully nubile Peri (as played by Nicola Bryant) and fancied her for afters.

Sauce

Roast Peri in a piquant sauce, was what he had in mind.

I am all for stretching the imagination and over the years no-one could fault Dr Who for whizz-bang ingenuity.

But I think cannibalism is a bit heavy for a show for the young. I trust Dr Who rapidly makes it clear that. people eating is wrong.

Especially when the succulent Miss Peri is the main course in a gourmet meal.
