After three years as "Dr Who," William Hartnell will be leaving the TV programme to return to stage and film work, the B.B.C. said last night. His last appearance in the series will be on October 29.
The B.B.C. quoted him as saying: "I think three years in one part is a good innings and it is time for a change." The B.B.C. are now searching for a new "Dr Who."
