A "Doctor Who" YouTube channel bowed Tuesday featuring archive clips and previews.

BBC Worldwide aims to appeal to diehard fans and new viewers with the Classic Doctor Who channel.

The 45-plus clips date back to the Time Lord's U.K. debut in 1963 and are available to YouTube users around the world. New content will be added regularly.

Among clips are those from the "Meglos" series, which was broadcast in 1980. Series is being released as a DVD box set. BBC Worldwide's "Doctor Who" commissioning editor, Dan Hall, said, "This is an exciting, new way to deliver content for our net-hungry market."
