DOCTOR Who, BBC TV's long-running science-fiction show has lost old magic.

The series should be dropped. says actor Peter Davison. who played the time lord for three years.

"The scripts have lost their appeal," said Peter, who makes his debut next weekend in a new BBC drama series called Campion, playing an eccentric dectective.

"I'm glad I got out. It's not the show it used to be."
