The world's biggest Dalek collection has doubled in size in only two years. Rob Hull, 51, from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, was recognised by Guinness World Records in 2011 as having the greatest number — 571 — but now he has 1,202 and his record has been updated.
His obsession started when he was aged seven. "I wanted a Dalek but my Mum said no," he said. Now his collection includes a Cherilea first made in the 1960s and a gold Product Enterprise 12" RC, one of only 50 in the world. His remote-controlled 6ft Dalek is valued at up to £5,000. He has vowed to continue collecting if he can find room to store them all. "I don't think we will have to move home just yet," he said.
