A grand Doctor Who exhibition touring the United States will be sponsored in Portland, September 19-20 by Oregon Public Broadcasting.
The event, created by the British Broadcasting Corporation and launched in Washington, D.C., in May 1986 by Peter Davison, the fifth Doctor of six, includes a 48-foot exhibition trailer that is an excursion through time and space. After entering the "Tardis" area, visitors walk through this "experience theatre on wheels' to come face to face with the most famous characters from the twenty-three year history of the show. In addition, "Bessie the vintage Ford Popular convertible used by the third Doctor, Jon Pertwee, accompanies the exhibition.
Admission costs $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for children under fourteen. The location was not set by Dial deadline time—for further information contact Oregon Public Broadcasting at (503) 295-6173.
