DR WHO has been hit for six on a journey through time and space.
"Once out of the Tardis the jet lag tends to get you," admits Peter Davison. The new series of Dr Who, starring Davison, starts on BBC 1 on Monday.
Davison, 30, spent three weeks over Christmas in New York with his American wife, Sandra Dickinson, and he arrived home only just in time to see his new series screened.
For the first time ever, It will be seen twice a week, on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Davison will be a new-look Dr Who. His costume will look remarkably like a cricketing outfit, worn with a fine old frock coat.
"The frock coat is something every Dr Who has had to include in his costume since William Hartnell started the series," he says.
Davison spent hours studying tapes of his four predecessors in the role before making up his own mind how to play it.
