A Doctor Who Convention is being planned for 1-9 p.m. May 29 at Winter Park Presbyterian Church, 4501 Wrightsville Ave.
Organized by two local fan groups, the Wilmington Dr. Who Club and the Dr. Who Information Bureau, the convention will feature videotapes of several episodes of the popular British science fiction TV series.
According to Lee Jewell, these will include the first episode of the Dr. Who series and new episodes not yet seen in this area, starring actor Peter Davison who has replaced Tom Baker in the role of the Doctor.
Dr. Who is seen at 6 p.m. weekdays on North Carolina public television, WUNJ-TV, Channel 39.
Admission to the convention will be $1. For more information, contact J.R. Newton at 791-2188.
